Violence Against Women Initiative

Today, the Safer Neighbourhood team and the Paddington Now street teams carried out a joint visibility and reassurance patrol as part of the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) initiative. We visited local licensed premises within the night-time economy, to maintain a visible presence, engage with staff and customers, and reinforce safeguarding measures such as “Ask for Angela.” The engagement was positive, with staff and members of the public being approachable, supportive, and willing to share their concerns and experiences.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to work with our partners to deter predatory and inappropriate behaviour and reduce Violence against of Women and Girls.
